Kitchen equipment
Every appliance gets its own shut-off valve. Equipment on wheels gets a commercial hose with a quick disconnect and a cable that stops it pulling on the pipe when you roll it out to clean.
Commercial gas fitting for restaurants, plaza units, rooftop equipment, warehouses and apartment buildings. Our own licensed gas fitter plans the shut-off around your hours, does the work, and leaves you a written record of what was tested.
Send the details and Real Deal HVAC will follow up.
Commercial gas fitting in Mississauga is mostly about timing. The gas work itself is the easy part. Doing it without costing you a day of business is the hard part.
The people who call us for commercial gas work:

The gas fitter Mississauga page lists every type of job. Here is what each commercial one involves.
Every appliance gets its own shut-off valve. Equipment on wheels gets a commercial hose with a quick disconnect and a cable that stops it pulling on the pipe when you roll it out to clean.
We run the gas while the ceiling is still open, cap and test each drop, and mark it. When the equipment arrives, hookup is quick.
Pipe on a roof sits on proper supports, never on the roofing. Each unit gets a shut-off and a sediment trap so dirt in the gas stays out of the burner.
These heat the outside air that replaces what the kitchen hood pulls out. They burn a lot of gas, so the line has to be sized for them.
Hanging heaters in shops and warehouses. We keep the clearance to racking and stock, and put a valve where someone can reach it without a lift.
Commercial water heaters and laundry room dryers draw far more gas than home models. See commercial water heaters.
Shutting off gas to a whole building costs everyone in it. Most of the time it is not needed.
If valves are missing or seized, we tell you. Adding valves now means the next job, and the next emergency, only takes down one unit.
| Building | What we plan around |
|---|---|
| Restaurant | Before prep starts or after the last order |
| Plaza unit | The fit-out schedule and the opening date |
| Office | Evenings and weekends |
| Warehouse or shop | Shift changes and cold weather |
| Apartment building | Tenant notice and building access |
Call or send the form with your equipment list. You get a written price and a work window before we start.
Rather just talk? Call (647) 280-6626. We answer any hour. Licensed and insured, and you agree the price before any work starts.
Six steps, from the first site visit to the paperwork for your file.
We look at the meter, the existing pipe and the roof or ceiling route. Send us the spec sheets for new equipment. The gas input is printed on each one.
We add up the input of all equipment that could run at once. Some commercial buildings get gas at a higher pressure, with a regulator at each unit. We check which yours has.
A written price and a work window that suits you. If Enbridge has to change the meter, we tell you how that affects the timeline.
Pipe sized and supported for the load, valves where staff can reach them, and connections made to suit each piece of equipment.
New pipe is pressure tested before gas goes in. We record the test so you have it for the landlord, the insurer or an inspector.
Each appliance is lit and checked for a clean burn. Staff are shown where the shut-offs are.

Gas is one of the costliest surprises in a new restaurant space. Ask these questions before the lease is signed.
We can look at the space with you, list the equipment you plan to run, and tell you plainly what the gas side needs. That helps you negotiate before you commit, not after.
We do commercial gas fitting across Mississauga, and in Oakville, Etobicoke and Burlington.
Restaurants along Lakeshore in Port Credit and Clarkson, and on Queen Street in Streetsville, are often in older buildings. The gas pipe has been changed by many tenants over the years. We trace it before we add to it. Newer plazas and industrial units have the opposite problem: the gas was sized for an empty shell.
For heating and cooling equipment, see commercial HVAC and rooftop unit repair. For suites, homes and every other gas job, see gas fitter Mississauga.
Yes. In Ontario, all gas piping and appliance hookups have to be done by a licensed gas fitter. Ours is on our own team, so the general contractor does not need to find a separate gas company.
The meter belongs to Enbridge, so the upgrade goes through them. Whether the landlord or the tenant pays depends on the lease. We give you the gas load numbers the request needs.
Yes. We run the pipe across the roof on supports, add a shut-off and sediment trap at the unit, test it and light it. For the unit itself, see rooftop unit repair.
Yes. We often work before prep starts or after the last order so you do not lose a service. Off-hours work is priced in the quote before we start.
It brings fresh outside air into a kitchen to replace the air the hood pulls out. In winter it heats that air with gas. Without it, the kitchen gets cold and the hood cannot pull smoke out properly.
Usually the make-up air unit is off, broken or short of gas. The hood is pulling out warm air and cold air is leaking in to replace it. We check the gas side and the burner.
Yes. We fit into your schedule, rough in the gas while ceilings are open, and leave each drop capped, tested and marked for the equipment.
The gas piping falls under the province's gas safety rules, not a City permit. The fit-out itself usually has a building permit held by the contractor or landlord. Replacing a rooftop unit needs a City permit, and we pull it when that is our job.
No. Large central boiler plants need a higher class of gas licence than ours. We will say so on the first call. Suites, laundry rooms, rooftop units and make-up air in the same building we can do.
We work out of Churchill Meadows, near Ninth Line. That puts us a few minutes from Erin Mills, Lisgar and Meadowvale, and about half an hour from Port Credit, Cooksville, Malton or Clarkson. We answer the phone 24 hours a day.
