Boilers and radiators
Older homes with radiators need someone who knows boilers. We repair boilers and put in new ones, including combi units that make your hot water too.

Port Credit grew up around the mouth of the Credit River, along Lakeshore Road. Its streets mix three very different kinds of homes. Each one needs a different kind of heating and cooling work.
Newer homes on the same streets are tall, tight and high efficiency. Many have a gas range, a fireplace and a BBQ line. The top floor is usually the hardest one to keep cool.
Most suites heat and cool with a fan coil or a small heat pump inside the suite. That is a different machine from a house furnace.

These are the jobs that fit Port Credit homes best. Each card links to the full service page.

No heat, a furnace that starts and stops, or a fault light. Our furnace repair page lists the usual causes and what each fix involves.
Many furnaces here went in years after the house was built, wherever they would fit. We plan the new one around the space you have. Prices are on furnace installation.
Small lots mean the outdoor unit often sits in a tight side yard with poor airflow. See AC repair for what we check first.
A heat pump heats and cools. With ducts, it can work beside your furnace. In a boiler home with no ducts, ductless units are the usual way to add one.
A new range, a fireplace, or a BBQ on the deck. Our own licensed gas fitter does all gas line installation work.

A fan coil is a cabinet in a closet or ceiling. It blows air over pipes of hot or cold water that the building supplies. Some buildings use a small heat pump in each suite instead.
Lakeshore Road is lined with restaurants, cafes and shops. Kitchens run on gas for ranges, fryers and water heaters. Changes often have to happen before opening or after close. See commercial gas fitting and commercial HVAC.

Older homes here are often gutted and rebuilt inside. These are the heating and gas steps to sort out before the walls close.
Furnace or boiler, water heater, range, fireplace, BBQ, maybe a dryer. We add up how much gas each one uses.
An old pipe sized for two appliances may not carry five. If it is too small, we plan a bigger line and tell you early if Enbridge needs to change the meter.
Keep the radiators with a new boiler, or run ducts while the walls are open. Open walls are the cheapest time to add ducts.
A high efficiency furnace or boiler vents out a side wall in plastic pipe. On a narrow lot, that spot needs care, away from windows and doors.
Every new gas line is pressure tested before any appliance is turned on. Then we fire each one and check it with you.
We publish our installed prices. They are the same in Port Credit as anywhere else we work.
The full list is on our pricing list. For monthly payments, see financing.

Yes. We look at the boiler, the pipes and the radiators first. Radiators in good shape can usually stay. A combi boiler can also make your hot water, so the tank goes. See boiler installation.
Yes. The usual answer is ductless units: one small outdoor unit and a wall unit in each area you want cooled. They heat too, so they can take some work off the boiler. See ductless mini splits.
Yes. First we check that the pipe and meter can carry all of them at once. Then our licensed gas fitter runs the lines and pressure tests each one.
It can be. With ducts, a heat pump sits beside the furnace and does most of the heating in mild weather. With a boiler and no ducts, ductless heat pumps are the way. Our guide on heat pump vs furnace explains the trade-offs.
